GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR PARENTS
- Parents must fill in the details on pages 1, 2, 3, and 49 of the almanac in the best interest of the safety and security of their ward.
- They must log on to the School Portal (www.amolakpublicschool.com) from time to time as all important information regarding the schedule of examination, PTM, workshops, syllabi and announcement of an scheduled holiday is always communicated through the Homepage of the school portal.
- They must ensure that their ward adheres to the prescribed uniform, cleanliness and personal hygiene standards. It is compulsory for the students to wear the I-card in school every day.
- They should furnish to the school, their latest office and residential address and telephone numbers. These are vital for the safety of their ward. In case of change of residence, the school office must be informed immediately along with the evidence / proof of the new residential address.
- They must ascertain that their ward carries textbooks / notebooks according to the timetable only so that the school bag is not heavy.
- Parents must guide their ward to maintain a record of worksheets and school circulars.
- Information regarding availing of leave(s) must be maintained in the leave record. Students with less than 75% attendance will not be allowed to take the Annual Examination, as per the norms of the school.
- Leave(s) will be granted to the student only on the submission of a prior application signed by the parents, stating the valid reason for leave.
- Absence without proper written information for more than two consecutive weeks will lead to striking off the name of the student from the school rolls. Re-admission will be subject to the availability of seats and only after depositing the re-admission charges.
- Constant vigil on the part of parents pays rich dividends. We sincerely recommend that parents should regularly monitor the daily activities of their ward, their performance in class tests, pen and paper tests as well as the submission of projects, assignments and other home tasks assigned to them.
- In case of illness, it is important that the child takes complete rest at home and rejoins the school after complete recovery. Doctor appointments, etc. must be avoided during school hours as there is no provision of half-day or short leave for students.
- Cooperation of the parents is required to keep a check on their ward’s regularly, punctuality and discipline.
- Parents should make arraignments for picking up their ward from the respective bus stops without fail. They should also ensure that the person picking up their ward from the bus stop must carry the parent’s/guardian’s I-card.
- It may not be possible to arrange special meetings of the parents with the teachers during the school hours. However, emergencies can be mentioned in the Almanac or e-mailed immediately to the school.
- All communications by the parents should be addressed to the Principal.
- They must ensure that their ward is strictly prohibited from commuting to school on self- driven two/four wheeler. Any violation of this rule will invite disciplinary action. Strict parental supervision is required in this regard.
- Speaking in English within the school hours is compulsory. A conductive atmosphere should be provided at home to develop the communication skill of the child.
- They must contribute to the academic and conversational development of the child.
- The – Teacher Meetings play a vital role in monitoring the progress of each child. Parents are advised to attend all Parent – Teacher Meetings to be aware of the progress of their ward.
- They must ensure that their ward does not use foul or offensive language at any time or place.
- They must take care that they do not discuss any teacher in the presence of their ward.
- Distribution of gifts and eatables among the students on birthdays is prohibited. Wearing casual dress is not allowed in the school even on birthday and PTMs.
- Parents are requested to ensure that their ward carries his/her personal belongings and is trained to be responsible himself/herself for the same.
- A student suffering from any infectious or contagious disease must observe the undermentioned prescribed period of quarantine before returning to school:
- Chickenpox – Till complete falling of scabs
- Cholera – Till the child has completely recovered
- Measles – Two weeks after the rash disappears
- Mumps – Until the swelling has completely subsided
- Jaundice – Six weeks
- Covid 19 – 2-3 weeks (along with submission of covid negative report RT PCS done within 48 hrs.
*A Fitness Certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner must be submitted on rejoining the school.
- Arriving late to the school is not permitted. Parents are requested to ensure that their ward reports to school on time. The students who come late for more than two days shall face a disciplinary action on third such occurrence, or may be sent back home.
- Presence on the first day of the academic year, on the opening day after vacation and on the closing day before vacation is compulsory. Parents must ensure that their ward attends school on these days.
- Parents who make private transport arrangements for their ward by hiring vans/rickshaws, etc. are fully and solely responsible to ensure that proper verification of drivers, rickshaw- pullers is done and all safety measures have been taken to avoid any untoward incident.
- Altercation with the staff on duty or the security guard is unbecoming and should be avoided at all cost.
- Being escorted by parent/guardian is mandatory for the non-bus users of the primary wing after the school gets over.
- Parents are requested to visit the school website regularly.
- In case a student misses out bringing water bottles or tiffin to school, the parents are requested not to send the same to school. It will not be accepted by the school as a matter of security. Instead, they should intimate the same to the school office before recess and the necessary arrangements will be made by the school.
